The Plan

Three circular days from our base camp in Carmona (Cabuérniga). We link the Pasiegos valleys, the climb to Picón Blanco, the Liébana gorges around La Hermida and Potes, and the beech forests of the Saja-Nansa — 708 km with nearly half on gravel and forest tracks. Four riders: Chus (BMW GS 1200 Adventure), Vicente (KTM 790 Adventure), Josep (Voge 800 Rally) and Fadi (Hebo 200 trail).

Highlights

  • Picón Blanco (1,529 m) — the star gravel climb, ridgeline and the antenna crest over the Asón valley
  • Liébana & La Hermida — the deep Deva gorge, Potes and the Piedrasluengas viewpoint (1,355 m) over the Picos de Europa
  • Saja-Nansa & Palombera — the best off-road ratio of the trip, beech forests and the highest gravel of the route
